Blea Tarn

Blea Tarn - Landscapes

Another classic Lake District location and a much photographed view of the Langdale Pikes but then there's a reason for that. Narrow roads and traffic make it fun to get to (if you like that sort of thing!), but it's a beautiful spot and actually I had it to myself, unusual given that it was about five in the afternoon. This shot was taken using a three stop graduated neutral density filter (sorry for getting all techy, sometimes I can't resist it), to balance the foreground and sky.
